Future planning healthcare can feel difficult, but Future planning healthcare can feel difficult, but it can also make a huge difference further down the line. I've used the directive and statement I've put together for myself to create templates you can fill in to make the process as pain free as possible. Link in bio.
Anyone with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (#h Anyone with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (#hEDS) knows that getting comfortable in bed can be a nightmare – pun very much intended! If you’re like me and have instability in the neck, shoulders and hips, sleeping positions become very limited. That in itself then becomes an issue because bony areas become sore from sustained pressure against the mattress. #Painsomnia, sleep apnoea and restless leg syndrome join the party and you’re in for a long night. Of course medical professionals can help with pain medication, treatments for things like restless leg syndrome (assuming magnesium supplements or rubs don’t work) and sleep apnoea can be managed with a mandibular device or a CPAP machine. But what of getting comfy? I’ve spent the last few years honing in on a set of tools for sleeping, all purchased from @amazonuk. Available on the blog now.
It's with a heavy heart that the time has come to It's with a heavy heart that the time has come to say goodbye. As some of you know, my health over the last 18 months has taken a sharp decline, and I've spent a lot of time in hospital, ending up in intestinal failure and on TPN and IV fluids and under investigation for ME on top of the already long list of diagnoses. It just hasn't been possible to dedicate the time and energy required to keep Chronically Awesome going - it was a huge undertaking even when I was doing well. Whatsmore, it doesn't look like I'll be in a position to make Chronically Awesome work looking ahead to the future. So the difficult decision was taken by myself and the Board of Trustees to close Chronically Awesome down. Don't worry though, all the awesome content we worked so hard to create will still be accessible. We'll keep our website and social media up for anyone to browse. PLUS all 130+ exercise videos are now available FREE on YouTube, link in our bio. Sending gentle hugs and loads of love, Ellie
