I think all of us can remember a time where we’ve felt railroaded into a decision we didn’t feel ready to make, or felt wasn’t right for us.
But it can be hard to push back, to ask to consider other options, or for more time.
But making decisions about our health and care needs to be a partnership between patient and practitioner, where both sides feel they are doing to right thing for the individual.
If you’re someone for whom confrontation, pushing back or calling out doesn’t come easily, here are some ways of letting your practitioner know that you’re not ready to make a decision yet.
